Biography

Dr. Rigden is a Research Development Officer in the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects at Cal State Fullerton. In her position, she works closely with units across campus to seek external support for faculty research, scholarship, and creativity activities, as well as institutional projects that support the educational and service mission of the university. Dr. Rigden brings over 10 years of experience in post-secondary education and has worked with both government and non-profit foundations in her previous position at Cal Poly Pomona. As the Director of Outreach Programs and Women in Engineering, she managed and secured external funding for two engineering programs, Women in Engineering and the Femineer® Program, a K-12 Outreach Program. Dr. Rigden also has previous experience as a TESOL and ESL Instructor at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) Extension. She earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Teacher Education in Multicultural Societies from the University of Southern California. She is a fellow of the iAspire Leadership Academy, a program supported by the National Science Foundation, and serves on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Education, Culture and Society.
